An antique ~ vintage paper / letter desk tray with knobbed lid.

I believe the covering veneer of the piece is leather, but I am unable to completely confirm this.
The piece is beautifully detailed, please see all the photos.
The sides of the tray are of a wood construction.
The tray measures 13 1/4 x 10 1/4 x 2 5/8 inches, length x width x height.
