    Description

***This highly sought after poster was designed by artist John Van Hamersveld***
The poster was created to promote a Feb. 10, 1968 Hendrix date at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium with Soft Machine, the Electric Flag and Blue Cheer, and since has become a pop culture touchstone,  and the poster's image "conveys the essence of Jimi Hendrix," according to fellow artist Shepard Fairey.
Over the years, Hamersveld also created the album cover images for a series of well-known classic rock artists, including 'Exile on Main Street' for the Rolling Stones, 'Magical Mystery Tour' for the Beatles, 'Skeletons in the Closet' for the Grateful Dead and 'Hotter Than Hell' for Kiss, among others.
