    Description

    Up for sale is this great little department store advertising sign.  This would likely be a store display for popular McGregor clothing and sportswear.  The 3D thick design really pops under light on the wall.  Gold leaf letters on red and green tartar background.  This is probably a 40s or 50s piece, but may be earlier.  Unique laminated and cut cardboard block design.
    I could only find one other example of a "Genuine Blockart" sign made by the Art Poster Co. Inc. and that was a COTY perfume sign from the 30's.  These are extremely hard to find and they look great on display.
    5/8 inch thick, so it can stand on its own on a shelf or hangs easily.

    Just under 4.5 inches high
    Stamp on back reads "GENUINE BLOCKART"  and "MFD. By Art Poster Co."
