    Description

This is a tin lithograph wall pocket made to hold a Sears & Roebuck catalog. Although it is quite faded, you can see artwork depicting the Sear & Roebuck industrial complex in the lighter reddish rectangular area. Below that, the text reads: "Home of the Sears, Roebuck, and Co. Chicago. Illinois". Below that the text reads: "Keep our Big Catalog in this Pocket Ready to Consult as Your Needs Arise" in gold lettering. It seems that the entire piece is lithographed in a wood grain pattern. On top of that are various Art Nouveau style flourishes - lines, ovals, and what looks like a thunderbird - in gold along the entire perimeter in gold. The metal is in decent condition, although there is one crack where the pocket attaches on the left side, and the bottom right corner is.. missing. Some small dents but nothing larger than a pencil eraser. The pocket part's surface does have rust. All brackets are intact and there are two drilled holes in the top for attaching to the wall. It is 16 inches tall, 10 inches wide, and 2 1/2 inches deep. It weighs 1 lb 6 oz. Please look at the photos as I have attempted to accurately depict the condition. Happy to answer questions.
